Our goal is to offer some basic concepts, that will help you understand what SEO is, what types of strategies it uses, and why websites must follow certain rules and requirements to grow and gain better positions in search engines.

Once you understand some essential SEO factors, there’s no doubt you will take more care with this and try to professionalize your work even more.

What is SEO?

SEO came from the acronym Search Engine Optimization. Explained simply, we can say that it is a set of many strategies that make the visibility of websites and blogs increase in search engines. Remember that the search engine par excellence is Google, which means that all SEO efforts aim to meet its requirements. Therefore, increasing the visibility also improves page positioning and, consequently, generates more visits and more revenue.

Why do we need SEO?

The most important reason we need SEO is that there are thousands and thousands of websites. Despite being a good thing for the large offer of content, this is also a disadvantage for your site to be among the most viewed options. And then SEO comes into play, applying strategies that will help your site meet Google’s requirements.

The more your site adapts to these requirements, the better its placement will be. So, if your site does not have a good SEO job, it will be at a disadvantage compared to those who follow the rules.

The second reason we want to highlight, among the most important to consider SEO, is that new sites, simply because they are new, do not have a good reputation, and that is translated into poor placement. People still don’t know and don’t visit your page and, the main thing, Google hasn’t rated it yet. When Google arrives on your page, as it is a new one, with little content, still in the construction process, and with many improvements to be made, it will not give a good score. Therefore, a new site will always be behind those that have a history.

It’s more than enough to think about these two reasons to realize that it’s almost impossible to venture into building a website and not consider SEO. After all, no one wants a website just to say they have one, but so that it is productive, has visitors, and content is useful to them.

Some SEO considerations for your website

Some SEO considerations are complex and very analytical. That’s why we can’t underestimate SEO, but get some knowledge about it to do a good job with our website. However, there are some basic, but very important tips to get you started, and it’s good that you know what they are:

  • Define a well thought out domain, with a name that can be easily found by the theme of the site and that respects certain keywords.
  • Carefully choose each division on the website, do not put insignificant pages, and choose good information and names that rank well in searches.
  • Before starting to build the site, plan and create the fixed content it will have. You cannot create an empty website. One of the things Google looks at the most is the quantity and quality of texts. Make good descriptions, list keywords, and structure texts appropriately with different hierarchies.
  • Look for a professional to help you in this task, as SEO is not just a question for the beginning of your website. It’s constant work, where we always need to make updates, change some things, add others. Even because Google itself changes its requirements and you need to follow them.
